An awareness workshop on “Waste Management” was successfully conducted on 18 March 2026 at TERI School of Advanced Studies. The session was organized under the project titled “Segregation of Waste for Recycling and Treatment,” a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative jointly undertaken by Swarn Lata Motherson Trust (SLMTT) and the Indian Pollution Control Association (IPCA).
The workshop was conducted by Mr Ashish Jain, Director of IPCA, who provided valuable insights into sustainable waste management practices, emphasizing the importance of waste segregation, recycling, and environmentally responsible disposal methods.
The workshop was attended by the students, teaching and non-teaching staff, housekeeping staff and gardeners of the TERI School of Advanced Studies.
As part of the programme, the Aerobin installed at the waste management site was formally inaugurated, marking a significant step toward strengthening on-campus waste management infrastructure and promoting sustainable practices within the institution.
Through the installation of the Aerobin, the University aims to streamline and enhance waste management practices within the campus by facilitating efficient and sustainable on-site composting of wet waste. This initiative is expected to serve as an eco-friendly, cost-effective, and practical approach to the management of organic waste, thereby contributing to long-term environmental sustainability.
