The TERI SAS permits applications for individual courses/bouquet of courses in each semester. Candidates selected for these would earn the relevant credits and would be awarded a certificate of participation.
- Candidates are invited to register for upto a maximum of two courses in a semester from any programme even while they are not admitted to a programme of study at the TERI SAS.
- They would be required to submit an application on a prescribed form.
- The application would be considered only if the individual meets the eligibility criteria for the programme in which the course is offered.
- The consent of the faculty of the course would be a necessary prerequisite.
- Admission to a course would be subject to availability of space in the class.
- Individuals would be allowed to register for a course upto a maximum of one week after commencement of classes.
- If an application is accepted, the individual will be registered as a student and will be required to follow all the rules and regulations of the Deemed University as given in the Information Brochure and Student's handbook of the Year, as well as in other manuals of the Deemed University.
- All assignments, quizzes, tests etc. would be required to be given, as for regular students registered in the programmes.
- Attendance rules of the Deemed University would be applicable, and if 75% attendance requirements are not met, students would be debarred from appearing from the examination and an F grade would be awarded.
- The requisite fees for a course for Indian students will be Rs, 7000/- per credit. (eg fees for a 3 credit course would be Rs. 21,000).The fees is required to be paid in full at the time of registration and will not be refundable for any reason whatsoever. This fees is only a tuition fee and does not include boarding, lodging, books etc. Miscellaneous charges would be Rs. 850/- (Grade card Rs. 150/-, Certificate Rs. 100/- Identity card Rs. 100/- Exam fee Rs. 200/-, Internet and computer usage Rs. 300/-). Besides this, a refundable deposit of Rs. 2500 for library usage would need to be paid.
- The requisite fees for a course for International students will be US $ 190/- per credit. (eg fees for a 3 credit course would be US $ 570).The fees is required to be paid in full at the time of registration and will not be refundable for any reason whatsoever. This fees is only a tuition fee and does not include boarding, lodging, books etc. Miscellaneous charges would be US $ 20/- (Grade card Rs. 150/-, Certificate Rs. 100/- Identity card Rs. 100/- Exam fee Rs. 200/-, Internet and computer usage Rs. 300/-). Besides this, a refundable deposit of Rs. 2500 for library usage would need to be paid.
- Classes for the course/courses will be held as per the time-table drawn up. The time-table takes into consideration options of regular students, faculty and infrastructure availability etc., and so requests for a change in dates or timings of classes would not be possible to entertain.
- On successful completion of a formal academic course, a "Certificate of participation" will be issued by the Deemed University.
- Credits earned can be accumulated and would be valid for a period of five years for exemption of courses/ award of diploma /degree from the TERI SAS.
