On 22 September 2025, a delegation from Deakin University’s School of Life and Environmental Sciences (LES) visited TERI at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.

Led by Prof. Janine McBurnie (Head of School, LES), the delegation included Prof. Euan Ritchie, Dr. Carla Archibald, Dr. Motilal Mathesh, and Dr. Roan Plotz. The visit focused on exploring potential research collaborations and strengthening the long-standing partnership between Deakin, TERI, and TERI SAS.

The programme featured:

- Welcome addresses by VC, TERI SAS & Prof. Janine McBurnie
- Presentations by Deans of TERI SAS
- An overview of Deakin’s research imprint in India
- A Researcher Roundtable with faculty from both institutions

The team explored synergies in mutual areas of interest, with a focus on joint research projects and co-supervision of PhD students under the ongoing TERI SAS–Deakin University Dual PhD Program.
