The National Science Day was celebrated at TERISAS on 28 February,2025, discussing the contribution of science in development and how challenges of air pollution, marine pollution and water scarcity can be addressed through continuous research and innovation. The rising concerns of public health and role of biotechnology in addressing some of these challenges were highlighted. The event was organized by the department of Natural and Applied Sciences and started with a welcome address by Prof Sukanya Das (Dean Research) and inaugural address by Prof Suman Kumar Dhar, Vice Chancellor. Prof Chirashree Ghosh, Delhi University, Dr Benno Boer, UNESCO, Delhi Office and Dr M Saharia, IIT Delhi graced the occasion and shared their views on various frontiers of scientific development. The event ended with the inauguration of the cell and molecular biology laboratory in the department of Biotechnology who partnered in the event.
