TERI School of Advanced Studies (TERI SAS) in its endeavor to promote education and action on sustainable development, announced an innovative initiative, the 7 Days Challenge, in association with Embassy of Sweden, within the Sweden India Nobel Memorial Program 2017, and Eco-Club initiative of Department of Environment, Government of NCT of Delhi. The 7 Days Challenge that will be held from 17-23 January 2018, is a call to action inviting interested individuals between the age group of 16-22 around Delhi NCR in India to practice sustainable lifestyles that will potentially improve their quality of life. The challenge consists of seven days of practical sustainable solutions focusing on three categories: EAT, MOVE and LIVE, and aims to encourage both innovation and awareness about lifestyle choices that contribute to sustainability not only for 7 days but beyond for a lifetime.
As a precursor to the challenge, TERI SAS organized a Pre-Challenge Work Lab on 1 December 2017 at their green campus, with the aim to orient students and teachers about the need for sustainable lifestyle, role of individuals and inform them about the modalities of the challenge. The event was graced by the presence of H.E. Ambassador Lars Ronn?s, Swedish Ambassador for Climate Change, along with Dr Leena Srivastava, Vice Chancellor, TERI School of Advanced Studies. Over 350 students and teachers from schools, colleges and educational institutes across Delhi NCR participated in this event.
