Knowing how to conduct litigation in India is a vital component of legal education. The three day workshop is designed to allow lawyers and students to develop and hone their litigation skills on a practical level.
Uniqueness:
During this workshop, the participants will learn the procedure of civil, criminal, corporate and environment litigation. These sessions provide an excellent opportunity to learn directly from practicing lawyers with long and varied experience. A case study designed specifically for the Workshop will be used during the sessions. The case study used for all the topics to be presented during the Workshop.
Objective:
- Provide a basic overview of Indian court systems and reforms
- Apprise the participants on the basic qualities of an advocate and etiquettes
- Inculcate the art and practice of trail court litigation covering civil and criminal litigation, and also at the Supreme Court and High Courts;
- Understand the uniqueness of the corporate and environmental litigation; and
- Comprehensively equip students to develop basic litigation skills
