TERI School of Advanced Studies and The Nature Conservancy India are proud to announce the second series on ‘Climate Dialogues: Empowering Youth towards Climate Change’ on the topic ‘Nature based solutions involving rural communities’.
Nature based solutions (NbS) have been categorised to provide solutions which are either restorative in nature (ecological engineering), are natural or green infrastructure, or fall in the category of management techniques like integrated coastal zone and integrated water resources management. Climate change impacts like water availability, soil erosion, wind erosion, biomass cover, desertification and coastal inundation are all known to benefit from NbS.
This climate dialogue initiative is a platform which aims to highlight how NbS in local planning has led to sustainable development in rural communities.
