The webinar series on ‘Air pollution and Cities’ was organized at TERI University campus on 19th October 2015 with an objective to cater to all pollution-related issues. ‘Smart city offers basic infrastructure for clean, green and sustainable environment to the public’- this belief about smart cities was something that led to the genesis of the series and as webinar series also covered detailed information about air pollution sources, occurrences, tools and data sets used in monitoring air quality and its impact on human health.
The series had 3 lectures of 45 minutes each. The lectures specifically deal with:
- Air pollution - Occurrence, Sources and Effects
- Satellite Remote sensing of Air pollution
- Air pollution and human health
Faculty members from Department of Natural Resources, TERI University New Delhi delivered the lecture. The webinar aimed to disseminate knowledge related to air pollution, sources and its impact to human health.
