Geospatial technology is a multidisciplinary approach to problem-solving in various areas such as natural resource and disaster management, urban planning and so on. It will enable one to think spatially in addressing different challenges. Demand for geospatial experts has been grown exponentially in the recent years. In this context, TERI University is conducting a series of capacity building programmes on geospatial technologies to disseminate its knowledge in the Geospatial domain to a wider audience.
The first of its kind, a three-day training program on "Geospatial Technologies and Applications using Open Source Software", will be conducted at TERI University, New Delhi. The training covers subjects related to Remote Sensing, Geographic Information System (GIS) and Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), and their applications.
It is a unique opportunity for students, researchers and early professionals to understand applications of Geospatial technology using open source software. On completion of this training program, the participants are expected to acquire conceptual knowledge in geospatial technologies and their broader applications.
