Dr. Elizabeth Sherwood-Randall, Deputy Secretary, US Department of Energy, visited TU on August 29,2016, with her team of delegates. Dr. Sherwood-Randall delivered a talk on the topic "Securing energy for Sustainable Global Development". This was followed by interaction with students, where she talked of cooperation in areas like renewable energy (particularly solar), efficiency of green buildings etc.
