ANNOUNCEMENTS
TERI SAS, with support from GiZ (Germany), organized a 1-day training programme on Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BiPV) on March 21, 2025 at its Campus. Experts from GiZ, NISE, C-STEP, TERI, EDS and Ornate Solar, took insightful sessions on this evolving technology. Over 45 students got an exposure on this topic, benefitting immensely from this workshop. Dr Sapan Thapar, Associate Professor, TERI SAS conceptualized and coordinated the entire programme.
XVII Convocation of TERI School of Advanced Studies (Deemed to be University), Vasant Kunj, New Delhi was held at Stein Auditorium, India Habitat Centre on March 5, 2025 from 11:00 AM onwards.
Chief Guest of the day, Prof. Jim Skea, Chair, Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, implored students and all present to continuously upgrade and upskill towards sustainability.
In his address, Prof. Jim Skea extended heartfelt congratulations to the TERI SAS graduates, emphasizing their crucial role in shaping a sustainable future. He outlined the current environmental crisis and asserted the essential role of innovative research and policymaking in tackling these challenges.
Dr. Vibha Dhawan, Chancellor, TERI School of Advanced Studies, while awarding 254 Masters' and 18 doctoral degrees, advised students to be sincere and responsible individuals contributing towards growth of nation. She advised students to reinforce their commitment towards a sustainable future through the knowledge they have gained at TERI School of Advanced Studies.
Prof. Suman Kumar Dhar Vice-Chancellor, TERI School of Advanced Studies thanked Prof. Jim Skea and Dr Vibha Dhawan for motivating the students. He spoke about the legacy, TERI School of Advanced Studies carries as an institute and the collective responsibility of all including the outgoing students to add new feathers to the institute’s cap.
