The TERI University, in partnership with Coca Cola India and the support of USAID, is engaged in several activities related to the promotion of the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) agenda. This includes engagement of youth, capacity building of various stakeholders and facilitating innovation and implementation of sanitation services. One of the key gaps identified is the near absence of WASH issues in the curriculum of various degree programmes in India. To address this gap, TERI University is organizing a workshop on 21-22 June 2017, where academicians across India along with WASH practitioners deliberated on various aspects of strategies for infusing WASH topics in higher education curriculum. The outcome of these deliberations shall be an Interdisciplinary Curriculum and a Strategy Paper for mainstreaming of youth in WASH related activities.
