TERI School of Advanced Studies (TERI SAS), has been awarded with UN GCNI (Global Compact Network India) Award at the 3rd Innovative Practices Awards 2019 on SDGs of Global Compact Network India's 14th National Convention held in Mumbai on 31st May 2019. TERI SAS showcased its initiatives on forest landscape restoration and studying the impacts of Nitrogen Pollution on Forest Ecosystems which addresses Sustainable Development Goal 15. During the one hour competition, top winning organisations contested to share their innovative insights aligning SDGs with their practices out of which TERI SAS won the contest.
Global Compact Network India (GCNI), formed in November 2000, was registered in 2003 as a non-profit society to function as the Indian Local Network of the Global Compact, New York. The Global Compact Network India works towards mainstreaming the ten universally acceptable principles in business activities around the world, catalysing action in support of broader goals, such as the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and setting the tone for the post 2015 development agenda within the Indian context.
