Minimum criteria for promotions across semesters and award of the degree
• A minimum SGPA of 4 for continuation of registration in the second semester
• A minimum CGPA of 4 for continuation of registration in the third semester
• A minimum CGPA of 4 AND a minimum letter grade of C in MPE 176 [Methods of Research in Economics] for continuation of registration in the fourth semester. A student falling short in attaining any one of these two criteria will not be eligible for registration in the fourth semester
• Any student who has a minimum CGPA of 4 and completed the minimum requirement of 80 credits of MSc Economics is eligible to receive the degree
