Dr Neeraj Sharma often referred as the “Bheeshma Pitamah” of Technology Based Executive Education in India for his pioneering role in creating the first studio, classroom, program pedagogy, student experience etc along with the team at IIM Kozhikode, Kerala India and University of Phoenix, Arizona, USA in the year 1999-2000. He is considered the Pioneer in Introducing Synchronous Education Methodologies with Technology Intervention in the country and has been the founding Team Member of Successful Businesses like Hughes Net Global Education, NIIT Imperia and few others. He has been part of this technology-based education even before its inception.
Dr Neeraj Sharma is currently Co-founder and Chief Academic Officer at myDIksha (www.mydiksha.com), education training and placement company. He pursued his PhD degree in Management Science from Department of Management Studies, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He obtained his MTech (Human Resource Development and Management) from the Department of Humanities and Social Science at Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He was awarded the Institute Silver Medal by IIT Kharagpur for obtaining highest CGPA in the batch.
He has approximately 26 years of experience in the corporate world. He has handled multiple profiles during these 26 years. He handled Training and Quality functions at Usha Martin Industries, Jamshedpur. He was head of Quality at Tata Infotech. The training and Quality function was also headed by him at Hughes Escorts Communications Ltd. One of his significant contributions was being the founding member of the team which conceptualized and implemented, technology-based learning in management education through the division DirecWay Global Education (Hughes Net Global Education). This work was further enhanced when he joined NIIT and launched NIIT Imperia and later Training.com, which became a major achievement in the area of technology-based management education through the best schools of management in the country. Dr Sharma has successfully persuaded and convinced some of the best management schools in the country to opt for technology-based learnings. He has closely worked with IIMs at Ahmedabad, Calcutta, Bangalore, Lucknow, Indore, Kozhikode, Trichy, Raipur, Jammu etc in addition to XLRI, IIFT, New Delhi, NMIMS, MDI, University of Phoenix to name a few. Dr Sharma in his role as Head of University Partnerships at upGrad started technology-based law education and health care management education. He has also been in the senior leadership roles at Great Learning, ImaginXP and Teachmint. He has handled functions like P&L, Sales, Marketing, Academic Operations, Product Management etc through these various organizations.
Dr Sharma takes great interest in studying and teaching Vedic Scriptures and is a Member of International Goudiya Vedanta Trust, New Delhi India. He runs two popular programs titled Life Management Program for You (LMPY) for working professionals and Goudiya Youth Forum ( GYF) for more than 7 years now. These programs have been conducted by him at IIT Bhubaneshwar, IIM Kozhikode, various colleges at University of Delhi, GGSPI University to name a few.
He authored a book titled Man Manthan – a collection of Hindi poetry.
