The Department of Sustainable Engineering invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor for teaching courses related to B.Tech programme in Energy Engineering . Candidates having expertise on the following subjects may apply:

• Thermodynamics/Electrical Engineering
• Engineering Mathematics
• Engineering Physics
• Engineering Chemistry

Eligibility Criteria:

i. A Masters degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in the relevant/allied subject.
ii. National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission

Desirable Qualification:

• PhD in relevant field.

Pay Scale

• Under the prescribed U.G.C. Pay-scale with admissible allowances.

Position: Laboratory Assistant (Physics) (Contractual)

The Department of Sustainable Engineering invites applications for the position of Laboratory Assistant (Physics).

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare Laboratory Equipment: Set up, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
2. Conduct Experiments: Assist in conducting experiments and tests according to established protocols.
3. Sample Preparation: Prepare samples for analysis, including labeling, sorting, and storing specimens.
4. Data Recording: Accurately record and maintain data from experiments and tests.
5. Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
6. Inventory Management: Monitor and manage laboratory supplies and inventory.
7. Support Research Activities: Provide support to researchers and faculty in various tasks as needed.

Eligibility Criteria:

Essential:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Master’s degree in Physics 2. Knowledge about handling equipments/apparatus related to physics and electrical engineering lab 3. Knowledge about carrying out experiments of Physics and Electrical lab for B.Tech/M.Tech students

Desirable:

Previous experience as laboratory professional in Engineering college or university.

Overview

IPCA Centre for Waste Management and Research (ICWMR) is a joint initiative of TERI School of Advanced Studies (TERI SAS) and Indian Pollution Control Association (IPCA). The ICWMR has a mandate to undertake research and consultancy, conduct capacity building programmes on issues related waste management covering all its dimensions related to law, governance, science, and technology. It provides evidence-based policy interventions in managing waste in a most optimal manner. It publishes insights by eliciting inputs through organizing working group sessions, conferences and collaborating with similar national and international institutes.

We are looking for a Manager who can assist the Centre in communication and documentation related functions.

Work responsibilities

The Manager will work under the supervision of the Head, ICWMR. The Manager is expected to do the following tasks:

A. Communication

• Developing innovative ideas for effective communication and promotion of the Centre
• Drafting and developing presentations, briefs, and non-technical write ups for the Centre
• Developing communication material related to projects, in collaboration with the Centre scientific staff
• Designing publications, annual reports, project reports and other print and electronic material
• Creating social media pages and webpage of the Centre, and regularly updating them
• Designing communication content for dissemination on website, social media and other forums
• Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders of the Centre
• Providing assistance in day-to-day activities of the Centre

B. Documentation

• Responsible for maintaining documents/records of the Centre
• Filing, organizing and maintaining documents related to Centre and its projects
• Keeping a track of bills, invoices, and other financial documents of the Centre
• Assisting for both internal and external audits (financial and administrative)

C. Any other task provided by the Director and the Head

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, communication, media studies, or related field with 4 years of experience or Masters’ degree in the above-mentioned disciplines with 2 years of experience.

Desirable Skills

• Expertise in designing and developing communication material for print, electronic and social media • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English • Familiarity with digital marketing • Proficient in computer skills (essentially, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Canva) • Familiarity with photo/video editing software is an asset • Basic IT skills such as updating a webpage, preparing online modules will be an asset • Ability to think analytically and strategically • Capable of working well independently and as part of a team • Multitasker and capable of simultaneously managing multiple projects with different deadlines

Note

1. Two tier selection process will be followed for the recruitment of Manager. Firstly, application form and CV of the candidates will be screened. Selected candidates will be called for face-to face interview.
2. The prescribed qualifications and experience are minimum and fact that the candidate possesses the same will not entitle him/her to be called for interview. The Centre reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable number based on qualification and experience higher than the minimum prescribed or by any other condition that it may deem fit.
3. Eligibility of the candidates will be determined on the last date of filling up the application form.
