Abstract: The application of renewable energy in electric power system is growing fast. Photovoltaic
technology is being increasingly recognized as cost-effective generation sources. This Report presents
the design of Solar Photovoltaic system for office building. The main goal of this work is to model
the rooftop photovoltaic (PV) system for office building. The report is prepared for a 15kWp solar PV
system and includes results of energy demand analysis, shadow analysis, solar resource analysis and
energy yield and performance simulation, system design, system and electrical layout, technical
specification, cost estimation and cost benefit analysis indicating simple payback period. This system
is going too installed at Aga Khan Trust in New Delhi. The technical and commercial parameters are
used to carry out the design of the system.
