Abstract: This thesis work comprises of two tasks. The first task was to design and install 25 kWp and 210 kWp Rooftop based Grid Interactive solar PV power plants at Chandigarh. They were part of the 730 kWp allotted to C&S Electric after winning the CREST Tender bid. The proposed 25 kWp solar PV power plant was to be installed on Police Headquarters, Sector 9 Chandigarh while 210 kWp was to be installed on Government PG College, Sector 46 Chandigarh. The detailed plant design layout was based on the site assessment. The report contains the technical specification details of the electrical and mechanical components used in the installation of the plants and various steps involved in the EPC work of the plants. The second task was getting into details of the steps involved in the bid preparation process.
