Abstract:

The rapid expansion of digital products, services and the pervasive adoption of digital technologies have ushered in an era of unprecedented connectivity and efficiency. However, the exponential growth of digitalisation has brought forth a pressing environmental concern: the carbon footprint of digital technologies. This research explores the intricate relationship between digitalisation and its environmental consequences and to underscores the need for comprehensive understanding the environmental implications of the digital revolution and to identify the National & International laws & policy for safeguarding the carbon footprints of digital technologies & subsequently suggest the basic policy guidelines to fulfil the gap. As we navigate the digital age, understanding and addressing these challenges are critical steps toward ensuring a sustainable future.
