The concept of sustainable urban development is gaining popularity since it provides residents with safety and well-being. Achieving sustainable urban growth is not simple, though, as there are many social, political, and environmental obstacles to overcome. The goal is to draw attention to and debate these challenges in relation to the main sustainability pillars and supporting pillars of sustainable urban development.
