Sustainability has transitioned from being a voluntary choice to a critical necessity for businesses. Companies are increasingly held accountable for the sustainability practices of their entire supply chain, extending beyond their immediate operations. However, many organizations lack the necessary tools to effectively assess and manage the sustainability performance of their suppliers. This deficiency creates a significant gap that hinders their ability to make informed decisions, mitigate risks, and achieve corporate sustainability goals. To address these challenges, a vendor criticality assessment model is proposed. This tool aims to provide a structured, comprehensive, and transparent approach to evaluate and enhance the sustainability performance of suppliers. By implementing this model, companies can systematically identify and prioritize key suppliers, thereby driving improvements in sustainability practices across their supply chain. This proactive approach not only supports corporate sustainability objectives but also contributes to broader environmental and social benefits.
The main objective of this project includes:
• Explaining the need for Sustainable Supply Chain Management in today’s world.
• Proposing a Vendor Assessment Model.
