This study examines the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) climate metrics analysis of companies in the oil and gas sector and their pathway towards net zero emissions. It aims to assess the status of disclosure of oil and gas industries as per GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) standards and estimate the pathway of Indian oil and gas companies towards achieving net zero emissions. The study utilizes qualitative and quantitative analysis methods, including a survey among stakeholders and projection analysis of emissions data. The results demonstrate the level of disclosure and compare the sustainability performance of the companies. The findings highlight the projected timeline for achieving net zero emissions. The study acknowledges limitations such as time constraints and data availability, focusing on two representative companies.
