Urban mobility is usually taken for granted by many people. But when it comes to Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), they face a different set of challenges in terms of accessing transport. With the urban population rising at an alarming scale, the infrastructure should fulfil the needs of the people accordingly. Different set of disabilities face different set of challenges. To ensure inclusive mobility for PWDs in urban areas, it is essential to understand the issues and challenges faced by different set of disabilities and how convenient is the infrastructure available to them in terms of accessibility. Many people come to Delhi with a hope of finding livelihood, making the population residing in this city rising at an alarming rate. The public transit in Delhi is always over- crowded which further adds the barrier in the smooth movement of PWDs. Further, lack of accessible infrastructure adds on to the list of challenges. These issues and challenges further restrict the movement of PWDs, making it difficult for them to use public tranit.
