Abstract:

In today’s times, the magnitude of environmental and social responsibility is becoming essential. There are numerous codes and standards pertinent to E&S aspects that establish the guidelines and goals for every company. However, the challenge lies in implementation. To address this challenge, companies can utilize an “environmental and social management system (ESMS)” to incorporate these rules and objectives into their core business procedures and activities. An ESMS involves a well-designed and set of processes that enable companies to integrate environmental and social responsibilities effectively. In this paper, you’ll understand the processes and procedure to undertake a compliance audit report on E&S for a healthcare company as required by “Asian Development Bank (ADB)” for their further investment process on their proposed expansion project/plan. Accordingly, an Initial environmental and Social Examination (IESE) report was carried out on the basis of ADB SPS 2009 screening and categorization.
