Solar energy is a very intriguing and upcoming technology that has been in the minds of people throughout the globe. The benefits that alone solar energy, energy coming from the Sun, can give is astonishing. Not only solar energy is clean and doesn’t contribute to environmental issues; it has become affordable given the fact that a number of companies and countries are moving towards adopting and harnessing the solar energy. However, since it is a new type of energy and since most of the countries still rely on fossil fuel-based energy for their electricity consumption, it is a challenging task to bring forward this type of energy.
A certain of questions arise, whether this energy would be a good replacement for fossil fuels, how ready are people to shift to this type of energy, are every strain of people going to benefit from this source of energy or are there going to be some limitations of this energy. For this report, the focus would be on two key areas of concern, i.e.- understanding the level of awareness among the people in Delhi and their willingness to shift to solar energy. To garner a holistic understanding, the study has considered the responses from a cross-section of society in Delhi.
