Abstract:

Sustainable and resilient institution is the key ingredient for sustainable resource management. To address the “wicked problem” of exploitation of natural resources as well as climate change, sustainable local level institutions are a must. The usual path of implementing agency funded by CSR funds, in setting up institutions may not result in sustainable and resilient Local Level Institutions. Hence a ‘implementor’s guide to sustainable local institution building is created so as the interventions to build institutions are impactful.
