Marathon Electric India Private Limited, Faridabad is one of the largest single phases Fractional Horsepower (FHP) motor manufacturer in India and amongst one of the largest exporters of motors in its business segment. Marathon serves the domestic market across India and serves the export market in U.S.A, Middle East, Mexico, Southeast Asia, and Australia region. The Wide range of products manufactured and marketed are used in various application and installations including Air conditioners, Evaporative coolers, washers, Wet Grinders, and other general purposes. During Detailed Energy Audit phase various Energy conservation measures were observed such as Replacement of old Pumps with New Energy Efficient Pump, Arrest Air leakage on compressors, overhauling of air compressor having high specific energy consumption, Replacement of hydraulic Power pack with servo pump, Thermal insulation paint on Die casting furnace ,utilizing hot water from die casting waste flue gas into paint shop, contractor based temp controlling of die casting furnace replaced with SCR based heater and Possibilities of Installation of energy efficient VAM chiller. After Energy saving calculation audit team came up with conclusions that there total 19 % energy saving Possible in Plant in which contribution of Electrical Energy is 29% and Thermal Energy 7% Which are equivalent to monetary saving from electricity is 275 INR Lakh and PNG is 35 INR Lakh.
