This study analyses the relevance and need for contemporary organisations, governments and other similar institutions to develop a sustainable growth model in solving the complex global problems and also assessing its effectiveness as a growth strategy. It looks specifically through the the Climate Change and Disaster Resilience sector. The growing pace of issues in this sector demands for innovative and sustainable models to over the crisis.
The approach adopted has been a comprehensive one that includes understanding organisational behaviour and subsequently developing organisation transitioning strategies. The same has been carried out in the study through series of external and internal analysis, both through primary and secondary methods. The study also focussed on operational elements for such nature of organisations and the tools and systems it requires in order to grow. The developed strategies were tested out during the course of the study and the output has been displayed in the form of a framework/matrix. This strategy framework is for organisations looking to transition into establishing for-profit entities. It provides them a base with illustrative examples of activities that need to be undertaken both from an internal positioning and visioning perspective but also from the external perspective of how the entity is positioned in the market.
This study takes into account how social impact entities have had to evolve and pivot owing to external factors and analysis the use of a framework which can be applied across sectors. While there are restrictions and considerations to bear in mind, the study aims to reflect the evolution, need and output of organisations applying a long term strategic view towards problem solving and creating a positive impact in communities.
