Abstract:

The tourist business is now clearly one of the most important economic sectors, affecting the growth and progress of a huge number of countries throughout the world. The purpose of this research is to investigate and identify tourist attractions in the region of The Statue of Unity in Gujarat, India. Due to increase in population and economic development, the kevadia region has seen significant changes in land use and land cover in the last decade. The research focuses on the pre-processing and analysis of raw data. Based on the need as well as the form and land use attributes of the study area, the land use was divided into 8 big categories. Various GIS maps were developed using QGIS software and buffer analysis was carried out for river within 10m area and 700 m for point buffer in this study to explore and analyse the present scenario for design of water tourist destination. For this study a total of 64.159 sq km of land was surveyed and a 3D model was created using Drone Aerial Photogrammetry. This interactive 3D model, created with the most sophisticated and advanced technology, has been shown to be useful for both visualization and simulation. Images captured from UAV/Drones were processed using professional stereo photogrammetry software to develop final high resolution 3D reality model. This colossal 3D model generated with the most advanced aerial technology can be used in a variety of ways which include, being live on various websites and online platforms that can provide visualization and simulation.
