Public safety is an important aspect, which needs to be taken care for the progress of the city. The public safety in this study is taken forward with not just providing with policing infrastructure but also try to improve safety while providing proper urban planning and design. The studies have claim that public safety of a place can be improved by providing it with appropriate infrastructure like lighting, CCTV, proper access, natural surveillance and territorial reinforcement of the street. An attempt has been made to apply this method of increasing public safety by enhancing urban planning and design in Gurugram. For carrying out the project, different types of public safety infrastructures are identified and then an analysis on the selected sites is been carried out. According to the gaps, identified solutions are provided for the respected site.
