The 6 of the 10 most polluted cities in the world belong to Delhi-NCR Region (India) alone and the researchers estimate that more than 1 million people dies every year in India due to air pollution. In Delhi, vehicular pollution is one of the major contributors to air pollution as it contributes to up to 40% of PM2.5 and 80% of nitrogen oxides and carbon monoxide. So, to curb and improve the present condition of the Delhi-NCR, the state government has implemented the Electric Vehicle policy which aims to bring the transition in energy consumed in the Road Transport sector and will help in boosting economy.
