ANNOUNCEMENTS
The Dissertation analyses the problem of air pollution in Delhi from a legal and policy perspective. It looks at the various causes of air pollution in the city and traces the history of some of the important judicial responses in this regard. The paper attempts to gather an understanding of the legal framework as well as the important policies and initiatives which have been formulated for air pollution control in the country, which are therefore, applicable to Delhi. This Dissertation also seeks to gain clarity on the governance structure for air pollution control in Delhi, followed by a presentation of the critical gaps in the legal, institutional and policy framework. Lastly, the paper seeks to suggest recommendations which may be useful for mitigating the problem.
