Abstract:

Thinkthrough Consulting supported a client’s journey in developing a sustainability report for the calendar year 2021 in accordance with GRI standards 2020 (Core option), SASB and the sustainable development goals. The project was categorized into two phases. The first phase involved determining material topics through materiality assessment and mapping of material topics. The second phase included data collection and developing the client’s first sustainability report. Upon completion of the sustainability report, the engagement included a gap assessment exercise that will help the client transition to comprehensive reporting. For the purpose of deciding material topics, previous materiality assessments conducted by the client, peer materiality analysis and stakeholders’ response to materiality survey were considered to conclude a comprehensive list of material topics. The material topics were then mapped against UN sustainable development goals.
