Abstract:

Indian Renewable Sector is gaining a large acknowledgement which has bought change in the market demand of the country. In the study below I studied about the Indian Renewable Sector and its Regulatory Framework the sector is fully working based on Electricity Act, 2003 governs with the laws of electricity related to generation, transmission, trading, and consumption of energy. Statuary bodies like Central Electricity Authority (CEA), Appellate Tribunal and Regulatory Commissions are some of the establishments constituted for the smooth working of the sector.

There are different Regulations by CERC which impacts the business of Solar Power Developers no one can sell or purchase Electricity without following the regulations set by the Regulatory Commission with fulfilling their function relate to generation, transmission, trading, and distribution of electricity. There are many upcoming draft regulations and upcoming amendments of old regulation to support the sector and change the rules and regulations as per the market demand. After analysing the regulations and orders after the adjudication of the disputes there are many loopholes in the regulations which needs to be looked over.
