Abstract:

This work aims to find the barriers for the C & I consumers for the installation RTSPV. RTSPV is the best option to reduce the cost of electricity as the per unit production price is less than the cost of electricity purchased from the Grid . Around 50% of total electricity consumption of the India is consumed by the C & I sector. Day to day increase in the electricity cost also results into the increase in the total expenses of the sector.

This work is divided into three parts, first part focuses on the policy analysis of the solar power policy of the state of Gujarat. The second part is about the finding the barriers for the C & I sector and in the third part, the energy generation from solar plants was analysed.

The analysis of the Gujarat Solar Power Policy -2021 revealed that for the C&I sector, GOG (Government of Gujarat ) has removed all the criteria related to plant capacity and at the same time added the banking charges. For the C & I sector; awareness and policy related barrier was the most affecting. As per the survey conducted by me , 81 % of the developers are facing / have faced the issues from the policy side and many other hurdles like subsidy disbursement.

The third part of the study has covered the analysis of the plant by the generation and has compared the energy generation with the PVsyst simulation report-based generation. The major gap found was lack of operation and maintenance timing.

Keywords: Solar rooftop, Commercial and Industrial sector, MSME, PVsyst, Energy Generation.
