ANNOUNCEMENTS
The basis of the internship covers the communication between Modbus gateway and sensors simultaneously. The report gives detailed study of different gateways and compares them on various parameters for choosing the cheapest one and conduct testing with sensors and producing results. This internship focuses on the cost effectiveness for choosing optimal gateway as the primary criteria, the communication protocol being used in this experiment is RS485 which is an industrial grade communication protocol for most industrial appliances.
This report covers all aspects in choosing a gateway module and the necessary steps were taken into consideration to ensure the working and the automation aspect of the gateway module before testing and going ahead with the experiment. The source code was prepared and successfully integrated into their Gateway module’s EMS to give out specific results taken through the sensors connected in this experiment.
