The purpose of this study is to develop a simple excel based tool that can be used by policy makers and public transport utilities to make important decisions for the smooth and fast implementation of Electric Bus fleets in India. The study provides a comparative assessment of technical as well as economical parameters of various charging solutions available across the globe. The excel based tool accepts input parameters from the user and delivers output by providing a comparative assessment of charging solution such as DC Pantograph-Up, DC pantograph-Down, DC Plug-in and AC Plug-in. The output consists of Energy Consumption for the selected route, the Carbon Dioxide emissions saved, and the cost of implementing various charging solutions.
