Abstract:

The fundamental purpose of this dissertation is to bring forth the essence of what all“white collar crime is within the”purview“of the real estate and construction industry. The”research undertaken will provide an in-depth knowledge of“white collar crime in the real estate”and construction industry to the readers; as to what the essential ingredients of “white collar crimes are” along “with the” various ways of how white collars commit such crimes, ranging from corruption to land acquisition, conversion of land, the environmental and sustainability issues, breaches into cyber security main frame of smart cities, the nexus and the cartels as well as the other important white collar crimes ranging from“money laundering” to siphoning Corporate social responsibility funds back from charitable trusts and so forth so on along with the current loopholes of certain legislations and the lack of action of the various investigation and prosecution agencies along with a way forward of tackling such a phantom menace.
