Green finance is a domain where investments are made in areas where development and profit are also taken into account along with environmental impacts and sustainability. In this project, the various green financial instruments were studied. It was observed that, the most common among them were the green bonds and there was a detailed study on their issuance. The risks (short term or long term) involved in green finance can be addressed with the implementation of certain Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) indices that are a part of these financing strategies such as greenhouse gas emissions, employee relations, corporate governance, etc. This project examined in detail has, ESG framework in the context of green finance and also contains researched data on some funds with technical services. A total of 18 funds which fall in the green criteria were studied for the purpose along with ESG indices of four key credit rating agencies in the world. It was also analysed that some of the mapped funds had technical services such as capacity building programs, etc.
