Abstract: The electricity Act, 2003, paves way for an innovative approach to solve our
country’s power problems. It has paved the way for a competitive environment;
open access to existing transmission and distribution network to transmit electricity
across regions; de-licensing of generation, captive power and dedicative
transmission lines; licensing of distribution and supply companies and the
restructuring of State Electricity Boards.
In the above backdrop, Paawan Energy India Pvt. Ltd. has decided to set up a 20kW
Solar Power Plant under the scheme of MNRE of Village Electrification. This
Project Report brings out all technical details and overall costs justifying the
selection of the project. The total power generation is envisaged to be 20kW from
Solar Photovoltaic technology which is to be supplied to the 600benefeciaries for 4
hours in a day @ Rs 150/- per month . It is a very important document that is
required for Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) studies, and also for
submission to Financial Institutions for obtaining project funding. The total project
cost is expected to be Rs.54 Lakh and the average cost of generation is expected
Rs.20.45/kWh.
First, we have to select the village having poor condition of electricity but the
demand is high so we have to carry out a demand survey. After that, a survey of
villagehouseholds was done to know how many were ready to purchase on such
reasonable rate. Rajpurais the village that comes underEtawah district of Uttar
Pradeshhave been selected. Proper land for the installation of plant which is
suitable to lay out the proper distribution network in whole village has been selected.
Solar insolation data of that area has been collected. Our company is a channel
partner with UPNeda and the NGO “HarsithaShiksharEvamSamajSevaSansthanâ€
as theowner of the plant. They will take care of the power plant with respect to
collection, operation & maintenanceand the company will be responsible for the
execution of the whole project.
