ANNOUNCEMENTS
This research focuses at mapping Forest Fire Susceptibility using AHP and GIS modelling providing management to control and prevent forest fire in parts of Uttarakhand Himalayas effectively. Comprehensive knowledge of parameters that accelerates fire are used to identify risk zones, according to which fire risk zones fall under different categories- Unlikely, Very Low, Low, Moderate, High and Very High. The region falling under these categories helps forest department to take emergency step effectively and quickly. This research shows a significant effort towards development of Forest hazard with proper management and prevention of future fire hazards.
