Abstract:

The study incorporates within itself two different projects done under the two divisions of the same organization. They have been summarized in the following document however the differences have been stated under the names of Project 1 and Project 2. Thus two projects have their own introductions, methodology and results.

Project 1 covers the overview of solar energy in india and helps establish how solar power generation through Distributed Generation is now a growing market. Consultancies world over are capitalizing on solar projects however, to establish credibility in the market as one of the good players in renewable energy consultancy, a firm needs to start building on it too. Thus DG helps firms entering the market to accumulate small projects to build up a substantial amount of experience. The market has been growing year on year and funds to the tine of Rs 3.9 bn have been released by the government for DG projects as of June 2018.

Project 2 looks into the Indian infrastructure sector and how the gap between required and actual investments is set to widen as the country grows. This gap creates a requirement of US $ 500 bn worth of funding opportunities and capitalizing on this FCO and DFID, UK want to help Indian infrastructure entities raise finance through UK investors. Entities that can offer a variety of products and avenues to the UK investors will be considered in accordance with the shortlisting criteria. The project also requires that every year 25 companies be considered, to complete the goal of helping 100 Indian infrastructure entities raise fiancé. To this effect the prioritization plan offers a basic guideline so as to give an idea on which entity can considered for investment in which year.
