Abstract:

Purpose – This dissertation aims to Analysis of Solar Rooftop power plant with the parameter like performance ratio, plant load factor, grid outage time, insolation, inverter output variation and calculate the budget loss according to the actual and Pv syst Design.

Methodology/Approach – For the analysis of solar rooftop plant, all the data is taken from the WinSCP and NOCC (national operating controlling system). The data available in the software like daily generation (kWh), Inverter tripping time, Dc current, Ac current, Power factor, Reactive power and Real power etc. PV Syst report is created by using the genuine software to compare the actual generation with simulated report.

Findings – After comparing output of the all 10 inverter is was found that inverter no.3 and inverter no.6 is generating maximum losses due to shadow area, and string down.it is also found that reason behind low PLF is due to lower inverter efficiency than rated efficiency and inverter is kept same capacity of plant.(it has to overload by 20% due to losses)

Project limitation – The Analysis of solar rooftop plant is mainly dependent on WinSCP and NOCC. Hence the gathered information dependent on the provision of accessible data. Beyond that there is no extra information is available.
