Abstract:

Sanitation is one of the biggest problems, not only in India but in the whole world. Some of India's cities are counted among the most populous cities in the world, due to which they lack a good hygiene, basic healthcare related facilities. In order to overcome this shortcoming, the Government of India launched the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in 2014. The purpose of which is to achieve cleanliness. To know this, how much improvement has been made by cities in basic health care and good hygiene, Government of India launched Swachh Survekshan in 2016, in which they will be given a Regional and Nation ranking. This study has been done to know that what has changed in the methodology of swachh Survekshan in the last four years (i.e., from 2016 to 2019) and which factors are responsible due to which the ranking of Alirajpur ULB has not improved. On the basis of those factors suggestions have been given so that Alirajpur can improve their rank in the coming swachh survekshan.
