Abstract:

NDVI based on the features of vegetation has absorption in the near infrared spectrum. Further NDVI index sliced values form 0.15to 0.64 has been used to calculate the, Above ground biomass stock and Below ground biomass stock which is further concluded as total carbon stock. Based on the above ground carbon stock calculation results, overall carbon present in the area(Cifor, Kuffman 2016) is 44.034 ±19 Mg. ha-1. And below ground carbon estimated as the 84.122± 17 Mg.Ha-1. Further Total carbon estimation calculated by AGC and BGC is 128.156± 26 Mg.Ha-1.

Additionally linear regression analysis shows the positive value between the NDVI and Plot Carbon values. Values can be interpreted with positive regression with the positive growth graph as result.

From the above study it is established that the below-ground carbon percentage is very low and the corresponding study that has already being analyzed by Luis Junior Comissario Mandlate and Benard. S.Guedes, 2014 shows that during the high tide and water flux, extreme carbon values can be possible. The coefficient correlation calculated based on the independent (Carbon values) and dependent variable (NDVI) results a value of 0.9347.
