Abstract: The objective of this project was to develop a model to estimate the amount of loss in generation that will occur due to soiling on the modules for both cases if washed or if not washed, determine the best month to clean the modules, and the number of times the modules to be washed in a year such that soiling loss can be minimized.

Key Parameters that affect the soiling loss was found to be:-
1. Amount of Rainfall in a Month.
2. No of days it rains.
3. Amount of rainfall required to clean the modules.
4. Tilt angle of the modules.
5. Surrounding Environment.
