Abstract: Health system and policies of a country play a crucial role in determining the manner in which the health services are delivered in a country. The health care system in India has grown massively over the years after the independence. Along with the growth of the public health care sector, the private health care sector has shown the maximum growth over the years. Analysis of the available data shows that the development of the health sector in India has been extremely uneven in many parts of India. Public Private Partnership is an upcoming tool to improve the health care sector of various developing nations. Public Private Partnership is a collaboration of the public sector and the private sector to achieve certain common goals and objectives. The objective is to analyses the growth of the private sector in health care in India today. To understand the need, the positives and the negatives of the Public Private Partnerships in Health care. And to put forward some meaningful suggestions.
