Abstract: Globally, transportation sector has emerged as one of the major sources of air pollution. Correspondingly, green mobility is gaining increasing attention as an essential step to mitigate emission concern. “Green mobility is sustainable transportation that allows the basic access needs of individuals and societies to be met safely and in a manner consistent with human and eco-system health, and with equity within and between generations. Green mobility is affordable, operating efficiently, offering choice of transport mode, and supporting a vibrant economy†(SCI Verkehr GmbH, 2017). Similar to on-going initiatives in many countries around the world, the promotion of EV adoption is a major environmental initiative of the Government of India, designed to improve air quality. However, studies on EVs has done in different countries has revealed that the business model, consumer usage behaviour, EV charging infrastructure, training for repair and other support personnel are all significantly different from the processes and procedures that currently exist for CNG-based buses.
