Abstract: Climate change has increased the vulnerability across regions, sectors, and social groups. Farmers in developing
countries like India are poor and vulnerable to any change in rainfall pattern and temperature. Most of these
farmers have fragmented land holdings. Small and marginal land holdings make them susceptible to or unable to
cope up with low productivity (due to floods, drought, and high temperature). Lack of financial and physical
infrastructure to support the community has resulted in slight or negligible savings with them. In the following
study focus on Regar community is executed. Livelihood of the Regar farmers in the near future is threatened due
to impacts of climate change. The study measures the vulnerability due to climate change and climate change
impacts on migration in three villages of Ajmer district. Methodology used in the study helps to highlight the
vulnerable families across the three villages and underlines existing migration pattern. Use of both qualitative and
quantitative methods has been applied in the study.
Key words: Climate change, Vulnerability assessment, migration, community.
