Abstract: This study shows how increased agricultural productions affect the livelihood
of the farmers in Bhikiyasen block of Almora District of Uttarakhand. The
study in conducted in 29 different villages of the block. The village study
provides intensive information about the factors affecting agricultural
activities and problem faced by the farmers. An intensive literature review is
conducted while writing report explaining the relationship between livelihood
and food security. During the field visit 60 Plans has been made for 60
different groups. This Plan explains the relationship between increased
agricultural activities and livelihood enhancement. In continuation of this
plan a business model has been prepared which make an effort to provide
market linkage for these villages. This study may be useful for the policy
makers while planning the policy for hilly area.
